The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by: Sherman Alexie: The tale of a Native Indian whose life changes when he makes a drastic life choice. It’s written in the form of a dairy with pictures inside the book to help tell the story. It’s a great story of perseverance and never giving up. Loosing the people in his past life, the main character Junior, has then to make friends in his new “white” life. The title of the novel doesn’t make sense until the middle to the end of the novel and you realize the significance of it. Overall, it’s a captivating read of a teen’s life and what he had to go through, because it’s not a pretty tale that’s for sure.
